Ottawa - Specific Resources

ULTIMATE RESOURCE LIST created by Centertown: Centertown is a Community Health Center that provides health and social services. Their resource list includes ID & name change information and supports (pg.2 and 5), Community/Social support (pg.6), Health - Mental, physical, sexual (pg. 22), Resources to Services e.g., binders, hairdressers (pg.29)

AFFIRM: Planned Parenthood Ottawa: Peer-based program by and for trans people centered in improving care and access, ensuring that individuals feel informed, supported, and advocated for. Support happens over the phone, video call, email, and in-person. Affirm supports people of all ages, with a focus on youth and their families through our partnership with Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO)’s Gender Diversity Services

Trans Wellness Ontario: Services meant for individuals 13 years and older including individual counselling, peer support, community game nights, parent peer mentoring, a clothing cupboard where community members can access clothing that makes them feel like their best selves, and a range of special events
